About me

My name is Dominik Zagala,

I am a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist.

I offer Psychotherapy, counselling and psychological support, 

both face-to-face and online, for adults, couples or families in

private office based in Macclesfield, Manchester (Irlam) and

Knutsford. I offer a safe, non- judgmental, confidential space

for therapy to take place.

Training and Qualifications

I undertook my main training at the University of Silesia in Poland in Psychology (MA, 2009-2014, Katowice). This was followed by my 4 year Integrative Psychotherapy training at the Polish Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy (Diploma, 2015-2018, Krakow) and Advanced Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy, PROFI (2018-2019, Krakow).

The training enables me to work with individuals, couples and families experiencing various emotional difficulties and mental health problems including (but its not limited to): 

  • Anxiety

  • Addictions

  • Bereavement

  • Depression

  • Eating disorders

  • Health related problems

  • Personality disorders

  • Problems in relationships

  • Sexual problems, Sleeping problems

  • Stress and difficult life events

  • Suicidal thoughts and behaviours

  • Traumas and Work related problems


Over the years I have gained a wealth of valuable experience from working within both Poland and the UK. I also spent a summer within New York State, USA (2014) as a camp counsellor. This role was with adult’s variety of different ages experiencing various neurological and psychological conditions. Within Poland my role was as a Psychologist, in which I worked for Polish Institute of Oncology, where I was providing clients with psychological support and counselling (2012-2015). At the end of 2015 I moved to the UK where I have been working with in different NHS services. I have provided support to clients of the Mental Health Wards of Laureate House (Wythenshawe) and Park House (North Manchester) with therapeutic interventions in groups (2017-2018). I was also responsible of running therapeutic groups for clients of Whittaker Day Hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne (2019). Alongside of my other roles, in October 2016 I established my own private practice at home as an established therapist. My passion is providing therapy to the wider/ local community. I am happy to offer psychotherapy, counselling and psychological support.

- BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) 

- PTPIiS (Polish Association for Integrative and Systemic Psychotherapy),

- HCPC (The Health and Care Professions Council) 

adhere to Ethical Guidelines of the EAP (European Association for Psychotherapy) and BACP. I also respect Strasbourg declaration of Psychotherapy. 

I supervise my work with BACP accredited Supervisors and certified Supervisors from Polish Institute of Integrative Psychotherapy.
